Alessandro Sciarroni explores such concepts as immunity, physical effort and concentration, and puts such activities as juggling, folk dance or goalball into the theatrical context.

A performance with blind goalball players based on the reflection upon passing of time, sport and disability – it is a type of theatrical re-creation of a match. Aurora constitutes the third part of Sciarroni’s trilogy titled Will you still love me tomorrow?, in which he explores such concepts as immunity, physical effort and concentration, and puts such activities as juggling, folk dance or goalball into the theatrical context.

Day before the performance organizers invite children for toy-making workshop for the near-blind and blind kids. During the eveinug creators of AURORA invite the viewers to participate in the three hours-long workshop on goalball playing techniques.

After the performance, in the foyer of Nowy Teatr at 8  p.m. there will be a 50-minute screening of a film documenting work on AURORA – A CREATIVE PROCESS by Cosimo Terlizzi.

Alessandro Sciarroni – an Italian artist working in the field of contemporary performative arts. His works are presented at both dance and theatre festivals as well as in galleries and public space.

Film Aurora, a Creative Process

Aurora, a creative process is a film-diary by Cosimo Terlizzi about the creation of the contemporary dance piece Aurora by the Italian dancer and choreographer Alessandro Sciarroni. Cosimo Terlizzi follows the choreographer’s research and creates an independent art work: a film where the rehearsals of the show and the single stories of the athletes lead to reconsider the sense of sight from a different point of view.
