Discussion panel devoted to modern Arab art and dance scene and the challenges presented by the reality of the region, full of conflicts and violent sociopolitical changes. The following artists invited by the C/U Festival will take part in the discussion – choreographers Omar Rajeh, Radouane El Meddeb, Yara Boustany, Bassam Abou Diab, Hamdi Driri, and modern art curator, Anna Ptak.

The panel will be run by Patrycja Sasnal, PhD specializing in political studies, political scientist, Americanist and Arabist. She is the head of the “Middle East and North Africa” Project at the Polish Institute of International Affairs and a member of the European Working Group on Egypt. Her publications on the USA and UE policies regarding Middle East countries, the challenges of transformation in Arab countries as well as the Arab-Israeli conflict have been published  in, among others, “Le Monde”, “EUobserver”, “Al-Ahram”, “Polityka” and „Gazeta Wyborcza”.
